Apple was born 10/22/2004, Apple was sold in the summer of 2005. She stayed with family for about 2 years but then the wife became pregnant and felt Apple would be a burden so Apple went to family #2 in Vermont where she stayed for 2 years. Both people worked and she was alone in the house all day and gained 30 pounds. They then bought a condo which would not accept her. So May 22, 2009 Apple got placed with me. I already had a male Akitas named Max, a year younger than Apple. When I brought Apple home it was love at first sight for Max. The first night I had her she stayed by my back door crying. So the next day she came to work with me. A colleague had just returned from burying his father in Venezuela and when Apple saw him she was all over him making him at least laugh for a few minutes. This made me feel that possibly Apple was an "empath" and would be great doing therapy work. The next week we started a CGC class which she passed in July. Next month she passed her TDI evaluation and almost 400 visits later (and 12 titles or designations) we are still going strong! Judith & Apple, RN, CGC, TT, TDI, TDIA,TDIAOV,TDIRVA,TDIEVA, NTD, ITD, ATD, VA....Apple presently has the most therapy titles of any Akita.
